Fans of the series Veronica Mars have saved it from death, breathing new life into its lungs - and then some. Producers said that if $2 million dollars could be raised, a movie could be made. Currently, donations for the film sit at $5 million.
“I think it’s fantastic,” said Julie Gonzalo recently about the effort. Gonzalo, who currently (as of this moment) spends her time on TNT's Dallas reboot, says she would be interested in being involved in the project and that if she is offered a spot, she would be on board. “I got word that I could be a part of it. Nothing’s for certain, but I would love to be a part of it. That was a really fun gig for me.”
Gonzalo appeared on the show's third and final season as Parker Lee, the roommate of Mac (Tina Majorino).
“That show was great,” she added. “Kristen Bell is a fantastic actor, and she should definitely do something. I would love to be a part of it for sure.”
Rob Thomas, the series creator and mastermind behind the Kickstarter drive, announced recently that he had completed a first draft and had plans for Comic-Con.
"We’re still working with the organizers to figure out if we’ll be holding an official scheduled panel as part of Comic-Con,” Thomas said. “I’ll be there, along with as many of our castmembers as I can bring along, and we’ll be doing an exclusive Q&A session.”
