Patrick Duffy dreams of 'Step by Step' reunion

After one show’s reboot, why not another?

Patrick Duffy, who is back on the TNT “Dallas” return, would also like to play Suzanne Somers’ husband again.

“I would love to work with Suzanne again,” Duffy told The Hollywood Reporter. “The 'Step By Step' cast was so wonderful to be with. They were my family and I think a little two-hour special about where these people are – not a documentary, but actually doing a show – seeing where they all come to over the years. It would be so fun to play that goofy Frank Lambert character again, aging another 25 years.”

Duffy played a single father to three kids who married a woman, also with three kids (sound familiar?) for seven seasons on “Step by Step.” The show ran on ABC’s TGIF lineup, which at different times included “Full House,” “Perfect Strangers” and “Family Matters.”

The return of “Dallas” scored 6.86 million viewers in June 2012. The show took a hit when Larry Hagman, who played the iconic J.R. Ewing, died last year. The season two finale air Monday on TNT, and a third season has already been given the go- ahead.

Step by Step beat Full House any day. The show was awesome and the cast were perfect together. Step by Step should have ran another 5 years. Bring on the two hour show and bring back TGIF ABC or CBS.
