With the second episode of her HBO show set to make its return this Sunday at 10, Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus got some real life experience from the Vice President of the United States himself, Joe Biden. Louis-Dreyfus and Biden sat down to a lunch on Friday afternoon in Biden’s office, where she made herself at home behind his desk and offered him some helpful advice.
"This is a picture of two vice presidents hard at work in the vice president’s office in the West Wing. I came to have lunch with Vice President Joe Biden and I surprise him by sitting at his desk," the actress says in audio (accompanied by the above photo) posted on the White House website. "So he thought he'd just ask my advice on various briefs he had to deal with and I was happy to give him my advice, which he paid no attention to whatsoever, which is why he is such a wise vice president. And we had a lovely lunch, and it is a day I will never forget,” jokes Louis-Dreyfus.
The meeting between Louis-Dreyfus and Biden was part of the Being Biden series where the VP’s office Tweets out pictures and audio explaining what is going on in the photo to followers. The series has been available on the White House website since March 3rd. Louis-Dreyfus plays the high maintenance and ineffectual Vice President Selina Meyer on Veep.
