Two old favorites are returning for CBS' “NCIS” season finale.
Muse Watson will return as Gibbs’ mentor and best friend Mike Franks. He was killed by the Port-to-Port Killer (thankfully not by the Port- o- Potty killer, which I originally misread this as) in season eight. But Franks’ specter has already appeared, in season nine during a near- death experience for Gibbs in episode 200.
The gang is in the midst of a federal witch hunt in the finale, related to the unconventional ways it pursued the man who killed Ziva’s (Cote de Pablo) father and Director Vance’s (Rocky Carroll) wife. The futures of several agents are uncertain.
Also appearing on the season 10 finale will be John M. Jackson reprising his role of Judge Advocate General A.J. Chegwidden. Chegwidden is now retired from the Navy and part of a powerful D.C. law firm, but will help the gang when they just might need him most. Chegwidden was gruff but still deeply devoted to the team on “JAG.”
After leaving “JAG” Jackson guest- starred on “Bones,” “Private Practice,” “CSI,” “Castle” and “Perception.”
The season 10 finale airs Tuesday, May 14, at 8 p.m. ET.
