A star of the box- office hit “42” is joining a USA medical show.
Brad Beyer has joined the upcoming season of “Royal Pains” as a recurring.
Alexandra Socha (“Damages”) is also set to recur.
Beyer will play local police officer Don Barrett, who befriends Hank (played by Mark Feuerstein).
Don is a single father who lives with his teenage daughter Molly (played by Socha). He starts to believe he has a serious medical issue after developing several symptoms he first attributes to stress from his daughter’s newly rebellious teen brashness.
Beyer has also appeared on series “GCB” as well as series “Jericho.”
Beyer is represented by Abrams Artists and Mary Erickson Management.
Dohn Norwood joins 'Hell on Wheels'
An actor who has recurred on an AMC period western for two seasons has been made a series regular.
Dohn Norwood plays Psalms, a railroad worker who became the front man of the Freedmen (former slaves). He acts as a moral compass as he and Elam Ferguson (played by Common) navigate their way through Hell on Wheels.
Norwood has also appeared in “Bruce Almighty” and “Mini’s First Time” with Alec Baldwin.
Norwood is represented by SDB Partners.
