Suburgatory

For the fourteenth straight week, American Idol brought FOX the victory in all measures. Yes, I am gonna keep putting this at the top here every week, why do you ask?

American Idol rose two tenths to a 3.4. Survivor bumped up a single tenth to a 2.7. ABC's Suburgatory aired two new episodes, with the first falling near 20% from last week to a 1.5, and the season finale posting a slightly better 1.7. How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life) fell five whole tenths to a 2.0, but it should be noted that this was the first episode to air without a new Modern Family as a lead-in. When you consider that fact, it actually held on pretty well for a new comedy. Dateline NBC matched last week.

Only the top 50 or so cable shows have their ratings posted publicly. The reason I don't do these style of posts for them is that A. the metric for a successful cable rating is wildly different to that of the networks, B. ratings mean a lot less to pay TV than to free TV, and C. there are so many hundreds of shows that a daily breakdown would be impossible to manage. I have thought of doing a weekly post highlighting the ratings of the top cable shows though.

Always read these posts, but is there any decent source of cable ratings? Many more shows obviously, but it would be nice to find a standard comparision of network vs cable shows.
