Alexis Knapp to appear on Bill Lawrence TBS pilot

The upcoming Bill Lawrence TBS pilot has book a “Pitch Perfect” reunion of sorts.

Alexis Knapp will reunite with co-star Skylar Astin on comedy pilot “Ground Floor.” Astin plays a 29-year-old successful alpha male named Brody. He crosses paths with his company’s happy support staff, and realizes he isn’t nearly as happy as he’d thought.

Knapp will play Tori, a racy free spirit who spends her days sleeping at work and nights at the local bar.

Lawrence, who created “Scrubs” and co-created “Cougar Town” and Greg Malins (“How I Met Your Mother”) will write the Warner Horizon Television multicamera comedy. Lawrence will exec produce along with Doozer’s Jeff Ingold. Randall Winston will also produce. Gail Mancuso is directing the pilot, which also feature John C. McGinley (also “Scrubs”), James Earl and Rene Gube.

Knapp has also appeared in “Project X,” “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.” She was also in Lifetime’s “Cinnamon Girl” pilot, and can soon be seen in indie comedy “Cavemen” with Chad Michael Murray.

Knapp is represented by CAA, Untitled Entertainment and Stone Meyer.

Astin has also appeared in “Hamlet 2” and “Taking Woodstock,” and he will also appear in “Cavemen.”
