One of the things I have enjoyed the most about the fantastic Parks and Recreation (which, not sure if I have mentioned this before or not but you should really be watching) is that fact that things change and the characters grow as people. Every main cast member is arguably a much better person than they were early on.
Tom Haverford is absolutely at the top of the list of those that have changed. Played by comedian Aziz Ansari, Tom has gone from juvenile man-child to juvenile man-child with a life direction that is adult. Kind of.
Ansari recently performed at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he paused to discuss the May 2 season finale of the NBC comedy.
"We go to space! The whole cast gets in a shuttle and goes to space," he said. "It's all really out there."
Do not get your hopes up though. Ansari was kidding.
"No, we actually filmed it so long ago I don't remember what happens to be honest," he added. "But every finale ends with cool cliffhangers and stuff, so if you like the past season finales, you'll enjoy this one. Promise."
Ansari also talked about co-star Nick Offerman (who plays the amazing Ron Swanson), who recently appeared on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and broke out his breakdancing moves.
"Oh my god -- that cracked me up," said Ansari. Do not expect to see Ansari doing anything like that anytime soon. "Nothing that awesome. I'm really good at foosball, though that's not nearly being as cool as being able to breakdance. I have no dance moves that can hold a candle to what Nick can do. No way."
The rumor is that someone is knocked up on Parks season finale. Any guesses who? I am going with April.
