On Monday Yahoo announced new programming features actors Ed Helms and John Stamos, and also a partnership with sports entertainment company WWE.
The presentation in New York as a part of Digital NewFronts also included a streamed performance by band The Lumineers. Digital NewFronts is hosting upfront presentations by leading digital media companies this week.
Yahoo announced “Tiny Commando,” which was created by Ed Helms (“The Office”). Helms teams with Zachary Levi (“Chuck”) and Gillian Jacobs (“Community”) for a series about a four-inch tall private investigator that will feature a variety of tiny vehicle toys.
Morgan Spurlock (“Supersize Me”) also produces “Losing Your Virginity With John Stamos,” in which the actor interviews celebrities about their first time.
“We Need Help” features actresses Cheryl Hines and Rachael Harris sharing the same personal assistant.
Also, Yahoo announced a partnership with wrestling giant WWE. Starting this summer the web destination will host a pre-show to “Monday Night Raw,” two original weekly series and an archive of full matches, shows, highlights and other content.
Yahoo also will host all 38 seasons of “Saturday Night Live” beginning Sept. 1.
Two shows were previously announced; Jack Black paranormal comedy “Ghost Ghirls,” and “The Fuzz,” which features puppets as police officers.
