The Following

NBC prevailed in the key demos, but lost the total viewer race to ABC.

The Voice took another hard drop, this time falling six tenths. Revolution fell even further from last week's series low, posting a 1.8. Ouch. HIMYM returned after a weeks long break to the tune of a 2.7, which ties its previous season low. Rules of Engagement recovered big time from last week's shocking 1.6, rising back up to a 2.1. 2 Broke Girls and Mike & Molly both rose two tenths. Hawaii Five-0 plunged beneath the waves, putting up a series low 1.7. demo.

FOX aired two season finales, with Bones kicking things off. The dramedy ended its eighth season with a disappointing 2.1, rising only one tenth from last week. Freshman drama The Following brought its inaugural season to a close with a 2.7, up three tenths from last week's penultimate episode. Both shows have already been renewed for next season.

Dancing With The Stars matched last week for ABC. Castle fell a steep three tenths to a 2.0. The CW's Oh Sit continues to well... sit at an 0.3. 90210 also stayed at an 0.3.

No argument from me about the Nielsen method being outtdated Matt, but it's the one we've got for the time being.

Promotion and Accurate Ratings. Promotion makes the show availble and in the public view. Accurate counts (loose the Nielsen system) I know MANY fans that watch Revolution, and its very popular internet wise, but because we refuse to watch it live, its techncially getting crappy ratings. Meanwhile its doing very well with the general TV fans.... the Nielsen system is horrible and outdated.
