'Drop Dead Diva' casts dreamy new angel for season 5

Justin DeeleyChange is good. After a quick search, revived Lifetime series Drop Dead Dive has cast a new drop dead gorgeous angel. Justin Deeley, who has been credited in a recurring role on 90210 and a role in the 2009 film Couples Retreat, has been cast in the role of Jane’s new guardian angel, Paul.

The Lifetime drama, which has begun production in Atlanta, is set to return for a fifth season. The announcement of Deeley’s casting was made yesterday via social media. The Facebook post, made yesterday shortly after 3pm, reads: "Thank you fans! We met the goal in record time! Meet southern heartthrob Justin Deeley, Jane's new guardian angel! Trust us, you're going to LOVE him this season. What do you think??"

The character of Paul is described as “Gorgeous with a great body and an adorable personality. Paul is a likable free spirit in the truest sense of the word. His body comes straight out of an Abercrombie & Fitch ad, and he has the carefree attitude of a Zen surfer. Funny, sweet and surprised by others' obsessions with his looks, he's blissfully unaware that he's not the sharpest knife in the shed.”

Last season Carter MacIntyre took over the post of Jane’s guardian angel from Ben Feldman, who played Fred. MacIntyre, who will not be returning as a series regular in seaon five, will appear in at least one episode to wrap up his storyline.

What do you think of Drop Dead Diva’s new guardian angel?
