Fans of E4's immensely popular comedy series "The Inbetweeners" can finally look forward to one final adventure of the oversexed foursome. Simon, Will, Jay and Neil will return for one more jaunt on the big screen two years after they took the UK box office by storm.
The Sun reports that the show's creators are priming for a sequel to 2011's "The Inbetweeners Movie," signing series stars Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas to reprise their roles. The original film found the vulgar and painfully awkward friends traveling to Greece for a final hurrah. The follow-up is said to be similarly themed, this time with the gang heading down under to see the sights.
The official Facebook page of the comedy series confirmed the news, with creators revealing the news to eager fans. "Facebook 'Fwends' - we told you you'd be the first to hear about Inbetweeners stuff, and although that's still true The Sun went rifling and found some stuff out about a sequel," the statement read. "Nothing's signed yet, and Australia is just one of the ideas we're kicking around, but we hope to have a new and definitely final film for you some time next year. We hope you miss us as much as we miss you."
The 2011 film grossed over $85 million worldwide, breaking opening weekend records for a comedy release in the UK after earning £13.2 million.
What craziness would you like to see Will and Company get into this time around?
