Daily, we see actors and actresses portray brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and all sorts of relationships with one another on television shows. It’s really no surprise that a lot of Hollywood stars are related to one another in real life. It’s quite a long list, but here are just a few TV actors and actresses that call one another brother, cousin, daughter, sister, dad and mom in the real world.

 

1. Robbie and Stephen Amell

How you know Robbie: We’ve seen him on “Pretty Little Liars,” “1600 Penn,” “Revenge,” “Alcatraz,” among many others.

How you know Stephen: “Hung” fans known him as male prostitute, Jason, but “Arrow” fans know him as superhero and hottie Oliver Queen.

How they’re related: These two equally hot men are cousins in real life.

 

2. Katie and David Cassidy

How you know Katie: Currently, Katie plays lawyer Laurel Lance on “Arrow.” She’s also appeared in “Harper’s Island,” “Gossip Girl,” “Supernatural” and the revamped “Melrose Place.”

How you know David: He will always be known and loved for playing Keith Partridge in “The Partridge Family,” alongside real life stepmother Shirley Jones. David was definitely a heartthrob back in the day.

How they’re related: Katie is David’s daughter.

How you know Rob: Besides those beautiful eyes, Rob Lowe fans love him for starring in “Brothers & Sisters,” “The West Wing,” “The Lyons Den” and of course “Parks and Recreation.”

How they’re related: Chad is Rob’s younger brother.

How you know Troian: “Pretty Little Liars” fans adore her as Spencer Hastings on the mysterious and thrilling ABC Family hit.

How they’re related: They might have different last names, but Sean and Troian are still siblings - stepbrother and stepsister to be exact. She even played Sean’s sister on “NCIS.”

How they’re related: These two are father and son. It looks like Gabriel followed in his father’s acting footsteps.

How you know Melissa: TV viewers first noticed Melissa when she played Laura Ingalls Wilder in “Little House on the Prairie.” Even though she’s been off TV for some time, she danced on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2012.

How they’re related: Melissa is the adopted half-sister of Sara.

How they’re related: These two resemble one another, so it’s no surprise they’re sisters.

How you know Damon Jr.: He recently became popular for his role as Brad Williams on ABC’s “Happy Endings.”

How you know Damon: He is a comedian who has starred in “My Wife and Kids” and “In Living Color.”

How they’re related: Did you know these two are father and son? They even appeared together on “My Wife and Kids.”

 

9. Zoey Deutch and Lea Thompson

How you know Zoey: She is new to the acting scene, but has already made a dent in TV for her roles in “Ringer,” “NCIS” and “Switched at Birth.”

How you know Lea: She’s been acting for years and has created some prominent characters on “Switched at Birth” and “Caroline in the City.” This isn’t TV-related, but she is probably most popular for starring in “Back to the Future.”

How they’re related: In real life, Zoey and Lea call one another mom and daughter.

 

10. Keith Carradine and Martha Plimpton

How you know Keith: He definitely isn’t new to the acting world. He’s starred in “Deadwood,” “Criminal Minds,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Missing” and “Dexter,” among many others.

How you know Martha: This is one talented lady. From parts on “Raising Hope” to “The Good Wife” to “Grey’s Anatomy” to “ER” and of course “The Goonies” - yes, I know that’s not TV, but I couldn’t leave it off the list - Martha is definitely making a name for herself.

How they’re related: Martha is Keith’s daughter.
