A CBS drama is going back to its roots.
“Elementary” will film its season two premiere in London. It will be the first time the series will be shot on location somewhere other than New York.
In the episode, Sherlock Holmes (played by Jonny Lee Miller) is summoned to London to revisit an old case. While doing so, he is forced to deal with his past. Watson (played by Lucy Liu) goes with him and discovers more about his enigmatic life and his associates in his past.
"We couldn't be more excited to have this opportunity to see Sherlock's old stomping grounds and take a closer look at a life that, until now, we've only been able to glimpse through the lens of his recovery,” Robert Doherty, "Elementary" executive producer and creator, said in a statement. “By meeting old friends and revisiting prior cases, Watson will gain even more insight into Holmes. She’ll have to keep up with a Sherlock who is both more comfortable in his surroundings and even bolder in testing the limits of those around him."
The series was expanded to a full 24 episodes in November.
“Elementary’s” season one finale airs Thursday, May 16 on CBS.
