Extended promo and photos released for 'Arrow' season finale
The wait is almost over.
The long wait for 'Arrow's high-octane season finale has almost come to a close, as we are now less than a week away. The CW's unexpected breakout smash hit of the season was picked up for a second season months ago and fans have been following all of the action of Oliver Queen and his compatriots week in and week out; there hasn't been any ratings lag that one would normally expect over a long season with hiatuses.
Judging from the description for the finale episode--titled "Sacrifice"--and the photos accompanying it, this finale looks to be a blockbuster. The episode description is as follows:
"Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) race to stop the Dark Archer (John Barrowman) from unleashing his vengeance on The Glades. However, they run into a roadblock after Detective Lance (Paul Blackthorne) picks up Felicity for questioning. Tommy (Colin Donnell) and Oliver’s already tumultuous relationship takes a turn for the worse after Oliver makes a confession about Laurel (Katie Cassidy). After hearing of the danger in The Glades, Thea (Willa Holland) races to find Roy (Colton Haynes), inadvertently putting herself directly in the line of fire for Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) devious plan. On the island, Oliver, Slade (Manu Bennett) and Shado (guest star Celina Jade) are locked in a life-or-death struggle against Fyers (guest star Sebastian Dunn) as his missiles lock on a full Ferris Air jetliner."
The midseason-break finale showcased a one-on-one confrontation between the Hood and the Dark Archer (John Barrowman) which ended with Oliver in intensive care, having barely escaped with his life. Now we are primed for the second round match-up between these two forces, with the lives of those in the Glades hanging in the balance. How will Oliver react when he is finally face to face with the man who murdered his father, marooned him on the island and threw the Queen family into complete disarray?
From the onset of the season Oliver has resisted letting people assist him in his vigilante quest because he did not want to be responsible for innocents getting hurt in the crossfire. Over the course of the season he learned that he needed others and he let Diggle and Felicity into his inner circle--could the finale now show him the error of that decision? The description already told us that Felicity is brought in by the authorities due to her association with the Hood... and this following image of Diggle certainly does not bode well for Oliver's best friend:
Whatever is happening in the image above, it appears that Diggle is in a bad way.
'Arrow' stars Stephen Amell and airs Wednesdays on CW. Check out the official promotional video for "Sacrifice" below!
This preview looks awesome, and I’m excited to see more of the Dark Archer versus Arrow for the finale tonight! I can't seem to live without Arrow, and because I work at DISH was thrilled to get my hands on a Hopper when it was released, and I've been happy with it as my DVR ever since. I enjoy how I can use my DISH Hopper to record up to six shows at once during primetime hours. I use this technology to help minimize my personal DVR conflicts, so that I won't miss episodes of Arrow.

Was that a jab at The Wire? Nice troll attempt, considering The Wire was one of the best shows on TV when it was around...

That's a Diggle picture? I thought it was a homeless Black man with a gun. Maybe something from The Wire
