A co-creator of “Samantha Who?” has joined a new ABC drama as executive producer.
Don Todd will assist “Mind Games” creator/exec producer Kyle Killen with showrunner duties.
“Mind Games” (formerly “Influence”) is a workplace ensemble focused on brothers Clark (played by Steve Zahn) and Ross (played by Christian Slater) Edwards. Clark is a former professor suffering from bipolar disorder, and Ross is a slippery con man. The brothers partner in a unique agency trying to solve clients’ troubles using human motivation and manipulation.
Killen and Todd exec produce along with Keith Redman. 20th TV is producing.
Todd also recently worked on “Heart of Dixie” on the CW, which stars Rachel Bilson. He was also a consulting producer on “Ugly Betty.”
Killer (“Lone Star,” “Awake”) will write the hour- long project’s pilot. He has a deal at 20th Television, and is represented by WME, Anonymous Content and Lichter Grossman.
Killen wrote Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster movie “The Beaver.”
Zahn has recently appeared on “Treme.” Slater (“Heathers,” “Pump up the Volume”) recently appeared on “Breaking In” as Oz.
Megalyn Echikunwoke (“Made in Jersey”), Sunny Mabrey (“XXX: State of the Union”) and Wynn Everett (“The Newsroom”) will also appear on “Mind Games.”
