With the finale of "American Idol" now in the rearview, the landscape of next season is slowly taking shape.
On the heels of her performance at the talent competition's giant finale, Jennifer Lopez spoke with TV Guide about a potential return to her judge's chair. With her amicable split from the show along with rumors of a judge's table overhaul, a return could be a possibility, but the actress insisted that it was very much up in the air. "I don't know! When I say, 'I don't know,' people think, 'Oh, she's playing a game.' I'm not," Lopez told TV Guide.
Longtime judge Randy Jackson has already confirmed his exit from the series as the current season drew to a close, and there is speculation that current judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban would not be invited to return. In fact, midway through the season, the rumor mill even addressed a possible early exit for Carey with Lopez taking over.
Lopez continued, "If it became really real where I had to make a decision, I would have to sit down and really weigh out the options of what my life looks like in the next year to see if I would sign. Because it does take up a lot of time, and I do have a lot of other things going on that I'm super excited about. So we'll see."
Who would you like to see seated behind the judge's table next season?
