Michael Raymond James to become a regular on 'Once Upon a Time'

A recurring character on “Once Upon a Time’s” second season will become a series regular next season.

Michael Raymond James

Michael Raymond-James debuted as Emma Swan’s ex/ Henry’s father Neal Cassidy (aka Baelfire, Rumpelstiltskin’s prodigal son) in the episode “Tallahassee.” Raymond-James then recurred in the last few season two episodes, while Rumple (played by Robert Carlyle) found he had a son in New York City and the circumstances leading them back to Storybrooke.

Neal was shot by Tamara (played by Sonequa Martin-Green), fell through a portal and then washed ashore. He was attended to by Aurora, Mulan and Phillip in “The Fairytale Land That Is.” Now word is that he will become a regular in season three.

On “Once Upon a Time,” the residents of the fictional seaside town of Storybrooke are characters from fairy tales transported to the real world by a curse.

Jennifer Morrison (“House M.D.”) plays Emma. Sarah Bolger (“The Tudors”) plays Princess Aurora; Jamie Chung plays Mulan and Julian Morris (“Pretty Little Liars”) plays Prince Phillip.

“Once” is co-created by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

Raymond-James has also appeared on “True Blood” and FX’s “Terriers.”

During the season “Once Upon a Time” airs on ABC Sundays at 8 p.m. E
