Uh-oh, some technical difficulties struck Dancing with the Stars on Monday night during the last episode where fans could have a chance to vote! Voting for the ABC competition show went down on their website, ABC.com, and fans that prefer to cast their votes online were told to move to social media to choose the season’s winner.
“Voting on ABC.com is temporarily down,” said a tweet from the show on Monday. “But you can vote by texting, calling and on Facebook.”
Eventually the problem was dealt with and fans were encouraged to go back online to place their votes if they still needed to. “Facebook and abc.com are back online,” Zendaya tweeted. “Don’t forget to vote that way too…u register with email then u will get 5 votes!!”
The finale for Dancing with the Stars aired last night, and a network spokeswoman ensured fans that the voting problem had not affected the outcome of the show. In the end, the bubbly blonde Kellie Pickler and her pro partner Derek Hough were crowned the winner of this season. Zendaya Coleman, the youngest contestant in the show’s history, placed second. Superbowl champion Jacoby Jones and Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman ranked third and fourth place, respectively.
Did the problem on ABC.com affect voting for you on Monday night? Do you think Pickler deserved to win Dancing with the Stars?
