Adele Lim signs new overall deal, named showrunner on CW drama

A “Private Practice” star has signed an overall deal with CBS TV Studios.

Adele Lim will serve as executive producer/co-showrunner on the studio’s new CW drama “Star-Crossed” (along with writer-exec producer Meredith Averill (“The Good Wife”).

“Star-Crossed” features an epic romance between an alien boy and a human girl after the alien and eight others like him are integrated into a high school in the suburbs.

Grey Damon (“Friday Night Lights”), Heather Bloom (“Factory Girl”), Joshua Braud (“Treme”)  and Kyle Russell Clements (“12 Rounds”) will star in “Star-Crossed.”

Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Scott Rosenberg, Richard Shepard and Bryan Furst will also exec produce.

Lim served as co-executive producer on “Life Unexpected,” which was also on the CW and from CBS Studios. She has also worked on “Life on Mars,” “Life Unexpected”  and “One Tree Hill.”

Lim is represented by WME.
