'Arrested Development' creator Mitch Hurwitz posts handwritten note for fans on Facebook

Mitch Hurwitz note

If you took a break to run to the bathroom, or check your Facebook page, yesterday while you binge-watched the just released episodes of Arrested Development on Netflix you may have noticed that series creator Mitch Hurwitz shared a little something. It is no secret that one of the main reasons that the show went back into production for another season was because of the support from hard-core fans looking to get a little more Bluth in their life. Hurwitz felt that the best way to show his gratitude and support, upon the release of 15 new episodes, was to hand-write a note for his fans (and enemies).

Hurwitz thanks Arrested Development fans for breathing new life into the series, saying “.” “[We] could not have dones [sic] so without your consistent effort to ‘spread the word’ about it. Although obviously in the case of the enemies, the words you spread were ‘don’t watch this show!’ You know I probably shouldn’t have even included them in the salutation — but I’m writing this in ink + making all sorts of mistakes. Did you notice the ‘s’ at the end of the word ‘done’?”

For those of you who have been ravenously devouring the newest episodes, Hurwitz also left a little advice about the right way to watch season 4. “It’s really meant to be watched in order. And you really should watch them all — because they build and, I’m just saying ‘eventually.’ If you can. All 15. But really this is yours now. Except for the obvious copyright issues. And you need to subscribe to Netflix. So it’s not completely yours, I guess.”

The note was signed by Hurwitz with a heartfelt “I love don't know you." You can read the note in full here.

How many episodes of season 4 have you powered through so far?

Was done all 15 after they came out. Watched one after another. Hope I don't have to wait another 6 years now. Only problem with releasing any show in this manner is, that if you watch them all the wait for the next season is excruciatingly long. Seriously, who can pace themselves?
