Sons of Anarchy has a thing for casting Shield actors, apparently. Actress CCH Pounder has been picked up by the FX drama for a multi-episode arc for season six, making her the sixth Shield alum to appear on the series. Previous Shield guests on Sons of Anarchy include Jay Karnes, Walton Goggins, Benito Martinez, David Rees Snell, and Kenny Johnson.
Emmy-nominated actress Pounder will play the role of Tyne Patterson, a San Joaquin County District Attorney, who finds herself up close and personal with the rough and touch boys of SAMCRO. Pounder has a lot on her plate at the moment, with this guest starring role being piled on top of her current recurring part on Warehouse 13 and her co-starring role in the film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. In addition to her role as Detective Claudette Wyms on Shield, Pounder has appeared in The X Files, Millennium, The West Wing, ER, Numb3rs and Law & Order: SVU.
While no other details have been given about Pounder’s character on SOA, it is possible that she will play a role in the prosecution of Tara Knowles-Teller (Maggie Siff) for being an accessory to murder of the a prison nurse.
Pounder’s arc will begin in the second episode of season 6 of Sons of Anarchy, which is scheduled to begin this coming fall on FX.
