Netflix's political thriller House of Cards was the streaming service's first major foray into original programming, and the David Fincher-helmed series was extremely entertaining. That was, in part, due to the show's performances: Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright led an absolutely fantastic cast. And though a few cast members were written out before the end of the season, House of Cards is adding in some new faces to replace them.
Sam Page -- known for playing Joan's husband Greg Harris on AMC's Mad Men -- has joined the cast in an as-yet unspecified role. Page's other television credits include Gossip Girl, Up All Night, Switched at Birth, Greek, and Desperate Housewives.
Meanwhile, the series has also nabbed Molly Parker for a role (again, no word yet on what the role actually is). Though her most recent roles include a starring turn on NBC's short-lived legal drama The Firm and a role in HBO's TV movie Hemingway & Gellhorn, she's probably best known for playing the widowed, drug-addicted Alma Garret in HBO's beloved series Deadwood.
There's no word yet on who Page and Parker will be playing, or whether they'll be stars or simply recurring players. In any case, it's some of the first solid news we've seen about House of Cards' second season, which is expected to premiere on Netflix next year.
What do you think? Who would you like to see Page and Parker play?
