FOX won the 18-49 demo on Wednesday, while NBC drew more total viewers.
Two hours of MasterChef collectively matched last week's premiere, marking what could be a good sign for the season as a whole for FOX. Dateline NBC hit a season high (for a Wednesday showing). The Healing in the Heartlands benefit concert did pretty well at 9pm, posting NBC's highest ratings in that time slot since early January. A new episode of ABC's Family Tools hit another series low, which isn't surprising since it's already been canceled.
How To Live With Your Parents (For The Rest Of Your Life) finally hit the cancellation wall, falling nearly 40%. I still think that ABC swung the axe too quickly on this show, which drew pretty solid ratings up to this point. The series premiere of news magazine program The Lookout (formerly known as the primetime version of Nightline) opened soft, earning a 1.1 demo. One day after Brooklyn D.A. became CBS' lowest rated Tuesday series premiere ever, The American Baking Competition claimed the same dubious distinction for a Wednesday series debut. Ouch. It seems a televised bake-off may have been a bad decision for the ol' Eye.
