The CW releases hot new trailer for 'Star-Crossed'
The CW seems poised for another successful season, hoping to capitalize on the new success of 'Arrow' and continue the long-running success of 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'Supernatural;' oh, and they have some hot new shows coming as well.
One of these highly-anticipated series is 'Star-Crossed,' formerly titled 'Oxygen,' from writer Meredith Averill ('The Good Wife'). Averill's concept is about a world similar to the one featured in the hit cinema smash 'District 9,' wherein aliens land on Earth in small numbers and humans are forced to decide what to do with them. The Logline reads: "Passion and politics threaten the peace and an epic romance ignites between a human girl and an alien boy when he and eight others of his kind (The Orion 9) are integrated into a suburban high school ten years after they and hundreds of others landed on Earth and were immediately consigned to an internment camp where they’ve been imprisoned ever since."
There has been a lot of buzz on this project since its inception and today The CW dropped this new trailer to increase anticipation even more:
The series stars Aimee Teegarden ('Friday Night Lights') as Emery, Matt Lanter ('90210') as Roman, Grey Damon ('The Secret Circle') as Grayson, and Natalie Hall ('Pretty Little Liars') as Taylor. Averill will also act as an executive producer on the series.
Romeo & Juliet meets space opera? 'Star-Crossed' seems primed to deliver.
