Two of the most beloved personalities in American Idol history wedded yesterday in Los Angeles, as Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo tied the knot at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel.
"Today was the best day of my life," Young said. "Diana and I are in it forever. She's my best friend."
DeGarmo accentuated her dress with a beaded belt, a custom veil and blue cowboy boots.
"Believe it or not, the boots totally worked," said the bride.
The couple wrote their own original vows and walked back up the aisle after the ceremony to Led Zepplin's "All of My Love." Their first dance was to a song called "I Do," which they wrote together for this very special occasion.
DeGarmo's co-stars from The Young and the Restless were in attendance, as were fellow Idol alums Elliott Yamin, Michael Johns and Kevin Covais.
DeGarmo appeared on Idol during its third season, where she was the runner-up. Young, seven years DeGarmo's elder, appeared two seasons later.
Their proposal aired live during the program's 11th season finale.
"This was the best way to start the chapter of my life as Mrs. Young," DeGarmo said. "I'm over the moon with joy and happiness about our wonderful wedding. I can't wait to spend my life with my husband!"
