Conan O’Brien, late night television host and comedian who looks like a cartoon character in his day to day life, is going to get the Family Guy treatment. O’Brien spent time in the past as a writer on Family Guy rival, The Simpsons, but he is now joining forces with Seth MacFarlane to get himself animated for an episode of the Sunday night Fox comedy. This is not O’Brien’s first foray into voice acting, having appeared as himself on previous epsiodes of both The Simpsons and Futurama.
O’Brien will be lending his vocal talents to the cartoon in an episode where he will be guest starring as…himself! In the episode, which will air at some point during season 12, Peter and Quagmire are scared by a bee (who can blame them, bees are nasty little bugs) and find that their screams match up in perfect harmony. The pair decides to form a singing duo called Griffin and Quagmire, and find that they are becoming successful at music festivals. However, when they take their singing act to late night on Conan, they bomb in front of the crowd.
Family Guy has a nice list of guest stars lining up to appear in its 12th season, besides O’Brien, including Bill Maher, Jeff Daniels and Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery.
