Father’s Day is right around the corner, so what better way to celebrate the joyous occasion than by reading about some of our favorite TV dads? Now, we’ve already covered our favorite single TV dads, so to keep it fresh and exciting, here is an entirely new round of TV dads that show all kinds of love, protection, respect and sarcasm toward their children.
1. Adam Braverman

This man has been through all kinds of turmoil. From his wife’s breast cancer diagnosis to taking care of Asperger son Max to shipping off eldest daughter Haddie across the country for college, Adam really deserves a Father of the Year award.

Despite his busy sports writing job, and spending time golfing, Ray attempted to be the best father possible to daughter Ally and twin boys, Michael and Geoffrey. Remember that time he taught the twins how to be fairies, and tried to educate Ally about the birds and the bees?
3. Bobby Ewing

No matter what kind of trouble goes down at Southfork Ranch, Bobby always steps in to protect to his family. This especially goes for adopted son Christopher, who he treats as his own flesh and blood.
4. Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker

Not only are these two hilarious, but they are wonderful dads to adorable adopted daughter Lily. Just like Lily learns each day, so do Mitchell and Cam at how to be great, loving and supportive parents.

Despite only seeing Jim’s children, Cece and Philip, every once and awhile, fan could easily tell how awesome of a dad he was. First, he cried when Pam announced her first pregnancy, and second, it took a real man to protect his family from Dwight’s family photo shoot.

He was the dads of all dads in the 1980s. As a liberal and former hippie, Steven taught his children right from wrong, even if two of them, Alex and Mallory, were all about embracing the more conservative side of life.

This is one dad who worked hard to provide for his pioneer family in the 19th century. No matter the struggle, like when daughter Mary went blind, he went above and beyond to take care of his family.

George Jefferson was a successful businessman in New York who managed several thriving dry cleaning stores. He showed his son, Lionel, how to make it in life, and also the importance of having a great personality.

Tim Taylor was definitely a guy’s guy who loved his hot rod and hosted his own TV show about tools. Whenever he got the chance, Tim taught his three sons how to be manly, but always accepted if they chose a different route in life.

He might not be a well-known TV dad, but he’s quite loveable on “NCIS,” as Gibbs’ father. No matter the strains in their father-son relationship, Jackson still worries about his son’s life, job and happiness.
