Lifetime premieres trailer for upcoming film about Jodi Arias

RaymondeOn Saturday, June 22, Lifetime will premiere an original movie about a horrific murder that stunned America.

Titled 'Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret,' the film stars 'Lost' alum Tania Raymonde as Jodi Arias, a 28-year-old woman who has been convicted of first-degree murder in the killing of her former boyfriend Travis Alexander (who will be played by 'The Mob Doctor's Jesse Lee Soffer in the film).

The trial of Arias became must-see TV in the United States for many, given the horrific nature of the crime (Alexander was stabbed 27 times, shot in the head and had his throat slit), as well as the graphic sexuality that emerged during the trial.

Police officers investigating the murder in Arizona found a digital camera in Alexander's washing machine. On it were shocking images that depicted their sexual lifestyle, as well as the murder and its aftermath.

Police argued during the trail that after Alexander broke things off with Arias that she snapped and began stalking him. Eventually they became intimate once more, which was when she murdered him.

Lifetime has released the first trailer for the film and it does not look like it is going to pull any punches. The trailer shows Arias tossing the camera into the washing machine and then fleeing.

This film will likely do well for Lifetime, as Arias has been found guilty but a punishment has not been set yet. The trial remains pretty big news.
