Kunal Nayyar, known throughout the world as the lovably bashful Raj Koothrappali on CBS' award-winning sitcom 'The Big Bang Theory,' will be making a special guest appearance over on TBS. Nayyar is slated for a guest star for a season two episode of the TBS sitcom 'Sullivan & Son.'
As first reported by TV Guide, Nayyar's character on 'Sullivan & Son' will be a far cry from the shy, meek Raj that we all know and love. Nayyar will play a patron of the title bar who believes that he is god's gift to women, the ultimate ladies man. So... basically Raj's exact opposite.
As the episode progresses, Steve (played by series creator Steve Byrne) hosts the bar's first ever ladies night, which draws Nayyar's character's interest. Throughout the episode, Nayyar's ladies man will hit on several different women by employing an array of different personalities. It sounds like an actor's dream and great news for fans of Nayyar's work on 'The Big Bang Theory.'
Nayyar will also be appearing in the upcoming comedy feature film 'Dr. Cabbie.' He has been nominated, along with the rest of the cast of 'The Big Bang Theory,' for two Screen Actor's Guild Awards.
'Sullivan & Son' is back in production on its second season, after an injury to Steve Byrne's face forced it to be postponed for weeks. The comedy also stars Dan Lauria and Jodi Long as Steve's loving parents.
'Sullivan & Son's second season premieres this Thursday, June 13 at 10/9c on TBS.
