If you haven’t yet warmed up to the new intern’s on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, you might want to give them another chance, as their over-eager faces will be here to stay come next season. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ has officially promoted Camilla Luddington, Gaius Charles, Jerrika Hinton and Tessa Ferrer to series regulars for next season of the medical drama.
Sadly missing from the list is my favourite new intern Heather, played by Tina Majorino, but that is because she is currently committed to a co-starring role in the new TNT drama ‘Legends’. Majorino will also be reprising her role as Mac in the kickstarter backed ‘Veronica Mars’ movie. It is not yet clear whether or not Majorino will return to the series in the future should she become available.
As for the rest of the interns on Shonda Rhimes’ show, they have a bit more reason to stick around. Jo (Luddington) has some seriously unresolved relationship drama to settle with Alex, Shane (Charles) has a lot more Derek Shepherd butt-kissing to do, Stephanie (Hinton) will likely get to make out with Jackson some more and Leah (Ferrer) has to…I don’t actually know. Leah is my least favourite of the bunch, and besides her dramatic few episodes involving Bailey, she is probably the least interesting intern of the bunch.
Are you happy to hear that this quartet will be returning next season as series regulars on ‘Grey’s’?
