Actor Jeff Garlin arrested for felony vandalism Saturday
An actor from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” was arrested for felony vandalism Saturday in Los Angeles.
Jeff Garlin, 51, was arrested in Studio City, California, after a dispute with another motorist over a parking space. He allegedly smashed the windows of the other motorist’s car.
Bail was set at $20,000. Garlin was reportedly released this morning from jail.
Garlin will star in upcoming ABC comedy series “The Goldbergs.” The project is a family comedy set in the ’80s that centers on an overbearing mother and short-tempered father who love their three eccentric kids so much, they can’t take them growing up. The premise is inspired by creator Adam Goldberg’s own experience being raised in a dysfunctional but loving family in the same decade. Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Reno 911”), Hayley Orrantia and George Segal (“Just Shoot Me”) also star.
Garlin is best known for playing Larry David’s manager and friend Jeff Greene on “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” He is also co-exec producer. Garlin also appeared on new and old seasons of “Arrested Development” as Hollywood executive Mort Meyers.
This whole thing to me sounds like a storyline from “Curb,” or is at least reminiscent of the one with Johnny Drama (played by Kevin Dillon) on “Entourage.” See for yourself below (NSFW because of language):
