Comedy Central reveals three lead actors on 'Bad Advice'
The casting of the three lead roles on Comedy Central's upcoming series 'Bad Advice' have been announced by the network.
The show, which is being adapted from Jordan Pope Roush’s blog "Bad Advice From My Brother," will star Reggie Watts, Miles Fisher and Mike Castle. This move lifts the cast contingency on the project.
Fisher and Castle will play brothers Jason and Ben (respectively). Jason is the older brother who spends most of his time trying to hook up with women and get rich on Wall Street, while Ben wants to be more like their neighbor Reggie (Watts). Ben moves in with Jason, who tries to mold him in his image. Unfortunately for them, this does not work that well and creates more problems for the duo.
Of the three men, Watts has the highest profile. He appears on IFC's 'Comedy Bang Bang' and has been a guest previously on FX's 'Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell' and TBS' 'Conan.'He also appeared on Comedy Central in the short-lived 'Michael and Michael Have Issues' series.
Here is a video of him appearing on 'Conan.'
What seemed like it was going to be Castle's big break slipped away when NBC passed on an untitled comedy pilot from Robert Padnick/Greg Daniels. Castle was to star in that pilot. He also had a co-starring role on an ABC project with Mandy Moore that also crashed and burned.
Fisher has appeared briefly on 'Mad Men,' 'Gossip Girl' and 'Psych.' He also has appeared on the big screen in 'Final Destination 5' and 'J. Edgar.'
Roush is involved in the project and will be writing the script, as well as executive producing. Brad Copeland will be serving as the showrunner (and also executive producing).
