BBC's 'Death Comes to Pemberley' adds 'Doctor Who''s Jenna-Louise Coleman

Did I mention she can travel through time?

"Doctor Who" sidekick Jenna-Louise Coleman's next role finds her transported to Jane Austen's 19th century England, as she joins the cast of BBC One's upcoming mini-series "Death Comes to Pemberley."

The three part series is based on the novel by P.D. James, which follows up with classic Jane Austen characters from her novel "Pride and Prejudice" six years later. Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy are now happily married with two children, but their lavish annual ball is overshadowed by the unexpected arrival of Elizabeth's wayward sister, Lydia.

Elizabeth's sister brings with her an unnerving murder investigation, as she stumbles from her chaise claiming her husband George has been murdered. Hey, I'd kill for her, too. The ensuing investigation unravels a web of secrets at the peaceful estate of Pemberley, threatening to bring down everything the Darcy family holds dear.

Coleman is set to play the mysterious Lydia, joining an already solid cast that includes "The Americans" Matthew Rhys as Mr. Darcy, "The Bletchley Circle"'s Anna Maxwell Martin as Elizabeth, and "Watchmen"'s Matthew Goode as Lydia's husband George Wickham. Shooting is scheduled to begin this month, with Daniel Percival ("Dirty War") attached to helm.
