Do you have trouble finding the right gift for that 'Parks and Recreation' fan in your life? Do you wish you had a miniature talking Ron Swanson available to give you life advice on a daily basis? If so, today is your lucky day!
NBC has announced that it will be releasing a whole new line of 'Parks and Recreation'-themed merchandise. Maybe this is a sign that the network will finally start treating the show like the gem that it is.
According to NBCUniversal, "the perfect gift for anyone who enjoys bacon and eggs for breakfast and a meat tornado for lunch," will soon be available when a Ron Swanson (who is played by Nick Offerman) talking bobble head releases later this fall. It will be available at major retailers and specialty shops.
Maybe you want more than just listening to Ron talk though - maybe you want to be him for Halloween. If so, you will love the new Ron Swanson mask and costume (sold separately) that are coming in time for Halloween. The mask will capture "one of his classic expressions," said NBCUniversal. My guess is his "fed up with bureaucracy" face.
Additionally, collectible cards are being released that include the regular cast, as well as special guest stars (Tammy 1 and Tammy 2 are surely part of that). They will be sold in five-card packs, and boxes will contain a minimum of two autographed cards and one show-worn costume relic card.
Bookmarks and posters featuring Swanson and Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) are also being released later this year, including one of Swanson's "Pyramid of Greatness" (pictured above).
Will you be purchasing any of these items?
