Disney Channel has picked up another of their comedy pilots: the teen highschool ensemble 'I Didn't Do It.'
The series has been developed by Tod Himmel ('90210') and Josh Silverstein ('So Random!'), two producers who know their target audience well--and know how to make successful television. 'I Didn't Do It' is about a pair of ultra-competitive fraternal twins Lindy and Logan Watson (played by Olivia Holt and Austin North), who, together with their best friends (Piper Curda, Sarah Gilman, Peyton Clark), navigate their freshman year of high school. Each episode begins with a comedic “what just happened?” situation as Lindy and Logan each spin their own accounts in the form of flashbacks. Of course, these flashbacks won't totally line up as each of the twins will skew the story according to their personal bias and, hopefully, hilarity will ensue.
Sixteen-year-old Olivia Holt is best known for playing Kim on the series 'Kickin' It' as well as her appearance in the TV movie 'Girl vs Monster.' Austin North made a guest appearance on 'Kickin' It' as well as a guest appearance on 'See Dad Run.' 'I Didn't Do It' marks North's first lead in a television series.
As for the supporting cast, Piper Curda starred in the series 'Rule the Mix' and appeared in 'Reading, Writing & Romance,' a made-for-TV feature. Sarah Gilman has only made guest appearances to date, including episodes of 'Up All Night' and 'Marvin Marvin.' Finally, Peyton Clark has appeared on the series 'Danger Jane' and 'Mild Mannered.'
Production will begin this summer in Los Angeles for a scheduled early 2014 premiere.
