Two actors who have recurred on a CBS crime drama have been bumped up to regulars.
James Laio and Tawny Cypress were originally cast in March for their recurring roles on “Unforgettable,” but now will join fellow newby Dallas Roberts and veterans Poppy Montgomery, Dylan Walsh and Jane Curtin.
Michael Gaston, Kevin Rankin and Daya Vaidya left as regulars after the first season.
Cypress (“Heroes”) appears as Murray, an FBI agent-turned NYPD Major Cases section member. Laio plays Jay, a detective knowledgeable about a wide array of technical subjects in the section.
Roberts plays Eliot (“The Good Wife,” “The Walking Dead”), the new boss.
“Unforgettable” returns July 28 on CBS.
Zuleikha Robinson (“Homeland”) is also set to recur on “Covert Affairs’” fourth season.
Zuleikha will play Bianca, a Washington, D.C. defense attorney who is a real power player, on the USA spy drama.
Peter Gallagher’s Arthur Campbell will use her legal skills to battle rumors that threaten the legacy of his family.
Robinson’s character will first appear in the ninth episode of the season.
Robinson recurred on “Lost” and “Rome.” She has also appeared in “The Namesake,” “Hidalgo” and “The Merchant of Venice” on the big screen.
Robinson is represented by Gersh and Industry.
“Covert Affairs” returns July 16 on USA.
