Stacy Haiduk, best known for her turn as Mary Jane Benson/Patty Williams and Dr. Emily Peterson on the soap opera 'The Young and the Restless' (it is a soap opera, so of course Williams was a crazy person who used the alias Benson and had plastic surgery to resemble Peterson), has signed on for ABC Family's new murder mystery 'Twisted.'
Haiduk will be recurring as Marilyn Rossi, a strong yet sexy private security firm investigator who is hired by the mayor to help investigate the murder of Regina (which is the central focus of the series). While Rossi is driven by her work, she too has a few secrets.
Avan Jorgia ('Victorious') stars in the series as Danny Desai, who is the prime suspect in Regina's murder. Desai has a checkered background and easily - maybe too easily - fits the profile of the perpetrator.
At this point, Haiduk's character is scheduled to occur in the 10th and 11th episodes of the season. No word yet if Rossi could return later on down the road.
In addition to 'The Young and The Restless,' Haiduk has appeared on 'Prison Break,' 'SeaQuest 2032,' 'Melrose Place,' ' Heroes,' 'All My Children,' and she played Lana Lang on 'The Adventures of Superboy.'
Twisted airs at 9 p.m. ET Tuesdays on ABC Family. Episodes of it can be seen on ABC Family's website here.
