Summer is the season of weddings; so, what better way to celebrate marital bliss than by showcasing some of our favorite celebrity couples? Not only have these duos worked side-by-side on the small screen, but they’ve also gone through life alongside one another as husband and wife. Here are 12 television co-stars that have said ‘I do’ - in real life.

1. Michael Emerson and Carrie Preston

It was love at first sight for Michael Emerson and Carrie Preston when the two locked eyes in 1994. Four short years later, they tied the knot. Ever since then, they have made a name for themselves as husband and wife - and as actors on the small screen. They can’t get enough of each other, as they’ve starred together on several occasions. Most recently, they play a duo longing for one another - with a complicated past - on the CBS hit “Person of Interest.” This is one extremely talented duo.

2. Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin

Sookie and Bill are married - well, in real life. “True Blood” has not only given these two success, but also an immense love for one another. It didn’t take long for Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin to fall in love on the HBO hit supernatural series, and in 2010 they took the marriage plunge. Recently, they expanded their family by having twins: a son, Charlie, and a daughter, Poppy.

3. Jared Padalecki and Genevieve Cortese

“Supernatural” fans did not take a liking to Genevieve Cortese’s character - Ruby the demon - but Jared Padalecki didn’t seem to mind, since the two married in 2010. Apparently, all that acting together as Sam and Ruby truly struck up a real-life romance. They seem to have a blissful life, and it got even happier when they welcomed son Thomas Colton into the world in 2012.

4. Doug Savant and Laura Leighton

Their lives might have been filled with drama when starring on the ‘90s hit “Melrose Place,” but Doug Savant and Laura Leighton didn’t let that interrupt their budding romance. One year after their show ended - in 1998 - they walked down the aisle and made their love official. They have two children together.

5. Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa

Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa are known for their long lasting love - on and off screen. The two fell in love on the set of the daytime soap opera “All My Children,” and it probably helped a bit that they had a romance on the show as Hayley and Mateo. Just like their characters, Consuelos and Ripa said “I do” in 1996. Their marriage is still going strong.

6. Kirk Cameron and Chelsea Noble

Mike Seaver has definitely grown up. “Growing Pains” star Kirk Cameron might be known for causing controversy, but that’s not all he’s known for. These two didn’t meet on TV, but actually crossed paths at the Yale School of Drama. The duo couldn’t stay away from one another, and they married in 1997. Ever since, Courtney B. Vance and Angela Bassett have lived quite a successful life in Hollywood and as a couple. They even like to co-star together. In 2009, they appeared as Cate and Russell Banfield on “ER.” Yes, they played a married couple. How cute is that?

“Castle” fans know and love these two as lovebirds Kevin and Jenny. The characters finally walked down the aisle in Season 4 (2011), but in real life Seamus and Juliana Dever already knew what it felt like to be married - to each other. The Devers married in 2006, and were actually hitched before starring together on the ABC hit drama. Do you think they carpool?

9. Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson

A man of many talents, Rob McElhenney probably had no idea when he cast Kaitlin Olson in his TV show, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” that she’d one day become his wife. In 2006, they started dating secretly, but there was no use in hiding their love. They tied the knot in 2008, and now have two sons, Axel Lee and Leo Grey.

10. Steve and Nancy Carell

They haven’t really starred in too many productions together, but it’s hard to forget when Nancy played Michael Scott’s (Steve Carell) realtor and girlfriend, Carol, on “The Office.” The TV show romance was short-lived, but in real life the two have been married for 18 years. He has to be one hilarious husband.
