When AMC released the poster for the final stretch of 'Breaking Bad' episodes, it also released the poster for the upcoming first season of its series 'Low Winter Sun,' which is slated to premiere on the same day.
It's a poster that, like 'Breaking Bad's', is highly reliant on the superimposed text. This one features protagonist Frank Agnew (Mark Strong) in black and white, looking afraid -- or perhaps just sad -- as he stares off toward the Detroit skyline. "GOOD MAN. COP. KILLER," the poster reads, with "COP" and "KILLER" placed in close proximity so as to hint at the murder that kicks off the series -- a murder of a police detective, which fellow police detective Agnew commits.
It's gonna be gritty.
I have high hopes for this series, and this rather artfully done poster has me even more interested.
'Low Winter Sun' also stars Lennie James ('The Walking Dead'), David Costabile ('Breaking Bad') and Athena Karkanis ('Lost Girl'). The ten episode first season is slated to kick off August 11 at 10/9c on AMC.
What do you think of the poster? Will you be tuning into AMC's latest original series?
