‘Parks and Recreation’ should prepare itself for an invasion from ‘House of Lies’ come this fall. The adorable and lovely Kristen Bell (‘Veronica Mars,’ ‘House of Lies’) has been added as a guest star for the sixth season of the Pawnee-comedy. There is something about Kristen Bell that is just so warm and friendly - - she makes me want to be her best friend.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Bell has been cast to play a woman who could be Leslie’s new best friend, or her greatest enemy. As an Eagleton City Councilwoman, Bell’s character is being described as “Leslie’s equivalent, but richer and better dressed,” according to executive producer Mike Schur.
This guest star role will make Bell the second ‘House of Lies’ star to make their way to Pawnee, with Ben Shwartz already having been slated to reprise his role as Jean-Ralphio when the comedy returns to TV. While we don’t yet know whether Bell and Shwartz will be appearing in episodes together, it would be great to see these two pair up again. Bell will also be reuniting with her ‘Party Down’ co-star Adam Scott.
The episode has been slated to air in October and Bell will be shooting her scenes after she has wrapped up on the set of her ‘Veronica Mars’ film.
Are you excited to see Bell on ‘Parks and Recreation’? Do you think she will get along well with Leslie or be her worst enemy?
