FOX is continuing to beef up its cast for the M. Night Shyamalan event series ‘Wayward Pines,' this time, casting a familiar face for the role of the small town psychiatrist.
Golden Globe and BAFTA nominated actor Toby Jones (‘The Hunger Games’) has joined the cast of ‘Wayward Pines,' alongside the likes of Matt Dillon and Melissa Leo. Here is something I didn’t know about this actor -- he was the voice of the house elf Dobby in the ‘Harry Potter’ feature film series. As a huge ‘Harry Potter’ book and film fan, I am a little bit embarrassed that I never looked in to the talent behind the toy-sized creature.
The event series will be a 10-episode drama based on the best-selling novel by Blake Crouch. ‘Wayward Pines’ is a thriller that follows the story of Secret Service agent Ethan Burke (Dillon), a man who is hunting down two missing federal agents and finds himself searching for them in the small town of Wayward Pines, Idaho. Instead of getting closer to the answers he seeks, Burke begins to realize that his own personal struggles may imprison him in Wayward Pines forever.
Jones will play the role of Dr. Jenkins, a psychiatrist who is treating Burke for what he suspects is paranoia, as a result is brain damage he suffered in a car crash. Although he seems to be trustworthy on paper, Burke is not sure that he can believe Jenkins’ diagnosis -- what is he hiding?
Do you think Toby Jones will fit the role of Dr. Jenkins nicely?
