Check Out the Brand New 'The Walking Dead' Trailer!
AMC's 'The Walking Dead' isn't just a show, it's already a franchise. Having spawned a handful of video games and its own talk show 'Talking Dead,' the series is nothing short of a phenomenon. And we've got your first look at the upcoming fourth season!
The trailer debuted today at Comic-Con, along with the release of the premiere date for the fourth season: 'The Walking Dead' returns with new episodes on AMC on October 13 at 9:00pm EST.
The fourth season of 'The Walking Dead' will run for sixteen episodes, in two eight-episode blocks. The second block will premiere in February 2014. The third season of 'Talking Dead' will debut right after the series premiere on October 13, no doubt with some big name guests attached to chat about everyone's favorite zombie-killers. This trailer comes a couple of days after series creator Robert Kirkman offered a glimpse into the story and character motivations in the show's fourth season. As you may notice from the trailer below, some time has passed between the end of the third season and the beginning of the fourth.
"There's going to be a bit of a time jump," Kirkman explains. "It's only a few months, we're not nailing down the exact number of days or anything like that. The prison that we see is a very different prison and the characters that we see are very different from the last time we saw them. We go into season four with characters you've known for four years and still find new things to explore with them and new aspects of their character and see that they are growing and changing in extremely dramatic ways due to the strains that this world has put upon them."
Now without further ado, here's a big, four-and-a-half-minute peek at the fourth season of 'The Walking Dead!'
