Since Josh Stamberg will no longer be appearing as Jay Parker on Lifetime’s ‘Drop Dead Diva,’ his fans can now see him in a recurring role on NBC’s ‘Parenthood,’ The Wrap exclusively reports.
Stamberg will be joining Season 5 of 'Parenthood' as a new man crashing at Sarah’s (Lauren Graham) place. Well, he won’t technically be staying with Sarah, but he’ll be playing a “charming and fun” neighbor in Sarah’s apartment building that she now manages.
Will he be a potential love interest for the eldest Braverman daughter? Now that Mark (Jason Ritter) is out of her life - for now - and Hank (Ray Romano) moved to Minnesota to be with his daughter, Sarah is all alone.
If Stamberg is set to make a move on Sarah, the situation might get sticky, because Romano is set to return for at least 12-15 episodes. Despite being a huge Mark and Sarah 'shipper, I still hope this season goes a little more smoothly for her - and that she can finally make a good decision when it comes to her love life.
This season of everybody’s favorite family drama seems to be full of fantastic guest stars, including Matt Lauria, who is also returning as Amber’s (Mae Whitman) love interest.
‘Parenthood’ returns Thursday, Sept. 26 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
Stamberg will appear in at least five episodes. Are you excited to see him star in this season of ‘Parenthood’?
