Kris Humphries is moving on up in the television world! After his debacle of a relationship and “marriage” to reality star Kim Kardashian, NBA player Humphries has swooped in on a guest-starring role on an upcoming episode of the Fox comedy 'The Mindy Project.’
Humphries should consider himself very lucky, as he is joining a stellar cast and some very notable fellow guest-stars, like recently announced James Franco and Adam Pally (‘Happy Endings’). While not many details have been released about how Humphries will fit into the storyline, we do know that he will be appearing as himself on the show. Humphries is not the first NBA star to dabble in the Mindy world: fellow NBA players Amar’e Stoudemire and Danny Granger appeared in a previous episode at a club that Mindy and her fellow co-workers frequently attend.
This role will be Humphries very first scripted series role, that is, if you don’t count everything he did on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ up to and including his wedding to Kim Kardashian as having been scripted. I am sure this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful career for Humphries… Okay maybe that isn’t fair, but if Humphries happens to surpass our low expectations you can all come back here and yell “You were wrong!" and "Don't judge a book by its horrible fake marriage!" if you want after you watch the episode.
What do you think about Humphries making the leap off the court and onto scripted television?
