‘Once Upon A Time’ Casts Its Tinkerbell

Rose McIver

I do believe in fairies! ABC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’ has caught itself a fairy and has filled the role of Tinkerbell in the third season of the magical drama. Think happy thoughts and she will help you fly away to Neverland!

New Zealand actress Rose McIver has landed the role of the blonde-haired, blue-eyed pixie, and hopefully she will bring as much spunk and spirit that the character needs. The new season of ‘Once Upon A Time’ will begin in Neverland as the cast travels to the mythical island to try and rescue Henry (Jared Gilmore) from the evil terror that is Peter Pan. I know, it is a shocker to see the loveable little boy as the series’ new big bad. Tink (McIver) will be appearing as recurring guest star, flying in for multiple episodes.

Besides her obvious connection to the land of the lost boys, Tinkerbell will have a surprising introduction and unlikely connection to another character,” say executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

McIver, who is set to appear in the upcoming Showtime drama ‘Masters of Sex’, has a rap sheet that includes work in films such as ‘The Lovely Bones’, and ‘Ozzie’ and series like ‘Power Rangers R.P.M.’ and ‘Super City’. Do you think that McIver is a good choice for the iconic role of Tinkerbell?

ABC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’ returns to TV on September 29th at 8pm.

The ability to drag this show out even further using so many tenuous links is terrifying. It seems to take forever to tell what I could have watched in a 2 hour movie - get a move on OUAT - make something happen, cliffhangers, action, suspense, drama etc I`m sick of feeling despondent when a new episode arrives, like a child on a tediously long car journey....are we there yet ? are we there yet ? are we there yet ?

So Peter Pan is going to play the heel role...don't see how they'll pull that off. I'm guessing Pan will want and try to convince Henry to stay in Neverland and maybe that wouldn't be the worst thing for Henry considering all the danger and lies he has been exposed to by Regina and his real parents so far. I mean he's never going to have a normal life wherever he chooses to live. Let the boy decide his own fate I say. And if that's being a lost boy and fighting pirates for the rest of his life so be it.
