‘Raising Hope’ is gearing up for a fourth season on FOX, and the series has just added another notable guest star to its lineup. Jeffrey Tambor, known most recently for his revival of George Sr. and Oscar Bluth on Netflix’s ‘Arrested Development,’ will appear on the drama when it returns in November on a new weeknight.
Tambor has been cast to play Arnold, a resident of Natesville who seems to continually and mysteriously pop up in the lives of everyone in the Chance family. The role sounds goofy already and I have no doubt that Tambor will bring his famous aloof-charm and silliness to the character. Tambor will be joining recently announced season 4 guest Molly Shannon who has booked a recurring role on the series.
Besides ‘Arrested Development,’ Tambor has appeared in series such as ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,’ ‘Psych’ and ‘Bent.’ I think my first memory of seeing Tambor on the big screen was in the 1999 film ‘Muppets From Space.’ Not one of Tambor’s most famous roles, I am sure, but he left an impression on my 10-year-old mind as a big, funny guy.
‘Raising Hope’ is moving to Friday nights at 9pm this fall on Fox, and you can catch the series premiere on November 8th. Do you have high hopes for season 4 of ‘Raising Hope'?
