On Tuesday, during a Reddit AMA session, 'Breaking Bad' star Aaron Paul admitted that he would like to appear on shows like 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,' 'Game of Thrones,' and 'House of Cards.' It makes sense; with 'Breaking Bad' heading off the airwaves in just a few short weeks, he's got plenty of reason to be looking for another job.
The same is true of Christina Hendricks. The actress stars on that other critically acclaimed AMC series, 'Mad Men,' which will be reaching its own end next year. Hendricks spoke to The Hollywood Reporter recently and admitted that she wants another television gig: "I want to be on all of [the shows] because I’ll be unemployed in a year, so put that out there!" she joked.
Which shows in particular? Well, her list has a show in common with Paul's: "I want to be on 'Homeland' because I love the suspense of it, but I also want to be on 'Game of Thrones.' I want to wear pelts and horns and ride around on horseback."
While 'Game of Thrones' might already have its redheaded femme fatale in Carice Van Houten's Melisandre, we certainly wouldn't mind if they found some way to fit Hendricks in. And with 'Homeland' coming close to reinventing itself with its upcoming third season, she could probably fit in there no problem. Let's be honest, though: Hendricks deserves to front her own show.
But if getting another TV role just doesn't work out, Hendricks has a career back-up plan: "I think I would make a great florist," she told THR.
'Mad Men' will return for its seventh and final season in spring 2014.
