Michael O'Neill & Kathleen Robertson Book Stays At 'Bates Motel'

A few weeks back, TVRage brought you the news that 'Alias' alum Michael Vartan had been cast as a new potential love interest for everyone's favorite overly protective matriarch. Today, brings with it the announcement of two more new cast members for hit A&E drama 'Bates Motel.'

First up on the guest list is always busy character actor Michael O'Neill, who has appeared in recurring and guest roles on dozens of popular series. One of O'Neill's best remembered parts was as a gun-toting mass murderer during the sixth season of 'Grey's Anatomy.' The vengeance-seeking Gary Clark's rampage left several bodies in its wake, which might actually serve as "training" of sorts for O'Neill's 'Bates' role. According to TVLine, O'Neill will portray Nick, father of brutally murdered high school teacher Miss Watson (Keegan Connor Tracy). Nick is coming to town to get justice for his daughter, and he doesn't plan on leaving White Pine Bay until somebody pays the price for her death.

Kathleen Robertson

Also headed to town is Kathleen Robertson, best known for her roles on 'Beverly Hills 90210' and 'Boss.' Kathleen will play Jodi a calculating, charming, and sexy businesswoman. Jodi isn't the kind of person who takes no for an answer, and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. It isn't currently known what her relationship to the Bates family will be, but if I had to guess, I'd say she might become a business rival of Vera Farmiga's Norma.

Other new additions to season two include Norma's estranged brother Caleb, and a socialite named Christine, who becomes Norma's first good friend in town. Both roles have yet to be cast. Production on the 10 episode sophomore season of 'Bates Motel' is already underway, and the premiere will hit the air in early 2014.
