When it was announced at Comic-Con that the second season of CW's hit 'Arrow' would feature the creation of a team, many of us naturally assumed that team would be lead by Oliver Queen (played by Stephen Amell) himself. It seems now, that assumption may be erroneous...
Bex Taylor-Klaus, a young actor from the third season of AMC's 'The Killing,' has just signed on to play a character well-known to DC Comics 'Green Arrow' fans: Taylor-Klaus will be appearing as Sin in the third and fourth episodes of 'Arrow's upcoming season. In the context of the show, Sin is described as a trouble-making teen who has connections to the Black Canary (who, as we reported earlier, will be played by Caity Lotz). It's also being reported that Sin will have connections to Roy Harper (played by Colton Haynes) as well, which could perhaps signal the initiation of Harper into costumed heroics. As DC Comics fans are aware, Harper becomes the superhero Arsenal on the pages & panels; it's yet to be seen if 'Arrow' will follow a similar path.
In the comics, Sin became the foster-daughter of Black Canary; given how young Lotz is, this avenue of story seems unlikely in 'Arrow's world. But still: when they mentioned the formation of a team on 'Arrow,' could the creators have been referring to the Birds of Prey..?
Taylor-Klaus hit it big on 'The Killing,' winning the role despite little experience. The fact that she has already signed on for her follow-up proves this is an actor to watch. Along with Taylor-Klaus and Lotz, Kevin Alejandro and Michael Jai White have both been confirmed to appear in the second season of 'Arrow,' as well.
What do you think of the casting of Sin?
